Month 5 of Pregnancy: What to Expect?

Week 18

The baby is now more active than before. He is moving, kicking and turning, etc.

You can still feel a very strong sex drive. If you have a regular, healthy pregnancy, it’s perfectly safe to have sex during the second trimester. Don’t worry! Your skin can also get very sore.

Week 19

You can start talking to your baby now, as it’s inner ear is fully developed. So keep talking to your little one to create a special bond.

Your growing belly is probably putting some serious strain on our back and all the added weight doesn’t help. Backaches are common among pregnant women. Try light exercise to keep the pain at bay.

Week 20

Wow, half of your pregnancy has just flown by! Thanks to the ultrasound, you already know whether you’re expecting a boy or a girl. Have you thought of a name already?

You probably feel very good, you’re glowing and your skin is smooth without any acne. Your hair becomes thick. You may have gained about 10 – 15 pounds and your uterus is about the same level as your belly button.

Week 21

You might feel the most comfortable at this point in the pregnancy.

Your troubles from the first trimester have disappeared and you’ve gotten used to all the changes that happened during the pregnancy. Doesn’t everybody just say that you’re glowing?
