Month 8 of Pregnancy: What to Expect?

Week 31

As your due date draws closer, you may be more forgetful and anxious, but don’t worry! You’re only thinking about the birth more than normal because it’s getting so close.

Week 32

Your breathing is calmer and your digestive problems seem to disappear.

You’re very likely to have lower back pains as the weight of your uterus and belly pull you down and forward. It’s not a bad thing to start using a maternity belt to ease the pain and lessen the strain on your back.

Week 33

You feel your baby is moving as well as kicking. Communicate with it often to create a bond. It can hear you clearly now.

You may want to consider creating a birth plan around this time. Having a birth plan is helpful because it means you’ll be ready for any unexpected things that may come up during labor.

Week 34

Do you find that you just can’t that ring off your finger? Are your legs swollen? Your body is holding water. Sometimes, taking vitamin B helps.

Week 35

If your baby was born this week, it would be healthy and alright.

There’s more baby than the amniotic fluid inside of you. Your uterus is pushing on other organs meaning you have to probably pee more often and have heartburn. If not, you’re one of the lucky ones!
